Ritual Theater

BY THE COMMUNITY - FOR THE COMMUNITY

Mercury is an immersive ritual theater experience that will weave together story, dance, music, and ceremonial adornments into a living work of art.

Together, as a collective ritual of remembrance, we will dive deep into the Jungian spiritual journey of the alchemical process, reimagined as a fairy tale.

This story is a celebration of the nature of being human, a deep dive into the collective psyche, an unraveling of what we all must go through to transform our deepest shadows into our most precious gifts.

With archetypal characters and symbolic representations, there is simultaneously no specific story being told... and the essence of every story is held within the backbone of this production.

Over the course of roughly an hour, you will journey with us as we experience the unfolding, real time.

In true ritual theater fashion, there is very little that is set in stone aside from the structured bones of the show. It will rely predominantly on improvisation, deep listening, and emergence weaving with the divine mystery.

On top of that, the entire ensemble has been brought together from the community to learn and prepare this show over the course of the 4 days leading up to the workshop.

Some of these members have never been on a stage before, have no background in dance or theater, but felt the call deep in their bones. They will perform alongside passionate professional performance artists, who will help to hold the container for those bravely leaning in.

This is the heart of Mercury.

A bold reclamation of ritual theater as a birthright.

Of performance art as a living ceremony, meant for the community to come back home to themselves.

Come experience this living tapestry of transformation.

We need you, the sacred witness, to hold this ceremony in it's fullness.
