The pull in your bones is not random

There is a depth of artistry within you waiting to be coaxed into the light.

The subtle longing to transmit your inner truth into art that is celebrated by community is not a silly whim.

That pull to be witnessed in your rawest expression is your connection to an ancient lineage of ritual theater, emerging to remind you to claim power over your story again.

Ritual theater performance moment

Somewhere along the line...

We lost the plot.

Performance became a privilege for the elite few with decades of training. Expression was exchanged for choreography, tricks, and moves. Artistry got separated from ritual and communal healing.

If you dance on stage, it’s “no longer a healing practice.”

If you didn’t grow up training, you’re “not good enough.”

Most classes teach you to copy the teacher, not find your voice.

Most stages ask you to be polished, performative, and molded.

Ritual theater is ancient technology

It’s literally in your bones.

If you trace your roots back far enough, you will find ancestors practicing this artform: story told through movement, masks, music, myth, and ritual for the sake of healing.

Embodying emotion and intensity begins to expand your capacity to hold sensation over time.

Symbol, tone, imagery, and texture speak directly to the subconscious in ways logic cannot.

Expression gives mobilized energy a place to move, transform, and integrate.

Training unfamiliar movement pathways can change the way you relate to your body, your story, and yourself.

Your body has been keeping the story. This is where you finally tell it.

The path we’ll walk

Six steps through the Hero’s Journey

We begin January 4th, gathering every other Monday at 4pm PST for a 2-hour group call. Between each call, you’ll receive a guided movement journey to keep developing your piece in your own time, and full-experience participants also book a private 1:1 “performance doula-ing” session with Regan through Calendly to shape their piece one on one.

Call One

The Call to Adventure

Establish the shared language, practices, and creative container that will guide the journey. Through movement, play, and exploration, you’ll answer the invitation to create.

Call Two

Crossing the Threshold

Step beyond the familiar and welcome hidden truths to the surface. Begin discovering the themes, questions, and stories asking to be told through your art.

Call Three

Trials & Initiations

Explore struggles, fears, and deeply human experiences, then learn how your personal story can become a mirror for something universal.

Call Four

Death & Rebirth

Enter the realm of symbol, myth, and transformation. Discover the forces moving through your story and bring them to life through character, music, costuming, props, and imagery.

Call Five

Revelation & Refinement

Shape and refine your work, distilling the essence of your story into a piece held by structure and bones, without choreographing every detail.

Call Six

The Return

Prepare to share your story in a live performance, offering your art to a room full of witnesses and discovering what becomes possible when transformation is witnessed.

Regan Powers

Meet your guide

Hi, I’m Regan Powers.

This offer is rooted in a decade-long journey of devotion to the art of performance and dance.

After teaching myself to dance in my living room at 18, my journey took me from gogo dancing at nightclubs while healing deep inner wounds through my personal practice, to traveling to festivals all over the world directing and starring in fully produced ritual theater performances.

This program is the result of 10 years of slowly burning rebellion, returning again and again to authenticity as a performance artist, and discovering that when I prioritize humanity over technical perfection, the art that emerges invites empowerment, magnetism, and deeper compassion.

I am not special. Anyone with the right support and structures has the capacity to access the story within them and share it in profound ways.

Questions before crossing the threshold

FAQ

Do I need dance or theater experience?

No. This container is for all backgrounds and skill levels, from complete beginners to professional performers. The work is not about fitting a technical mold, it’s about discovering the story, symbol, and expression already living inside you.

When does it start and when do we meet?

Ritual Body begins January 4th and runs for three months. We gather as a group every other Monday at 4pm PST for a 2-hour call. Full-experience participants also book a private 1:1 session with Regan between each group call through Calendly, at a time that suits your schedule.

When and where is the in-person retreat?

The retreat runs April 1–4 in Seattle and is included in the full experience. It’s where we gather to prepare, rehearse, ritualize, perform, and celebrate together, closing the three-month journey in person. The virtual-only experience does not include the retreat.

Will I be taught choreography?

No. You’ll receive structure, support, and creative frameworks, but the final piece is rooted in your own story and structured improvisation rather than memorizing someone else’s movement.

What support do I get between calls?

Every participant receives a guided movement journey after each group call to move your piece forward: movement development, mindset, ritualizing your practice, and storytelling. Full-experience participants also receive a private 1:1 “performance doula-ing” session with Regan between each group call, dedicated one-on-one time to shape your piece.

What’s the difference between virtual-only and the full experience?

The virtual-only experience includes the training container, group calls, and guided movement journeys. The full experience includes all of that plus private 1:1 sessions with Regan, the 3-night in-person retreat, the live performance, and professional photo and video documentation of your piece.

Do I get to keep the photos and video of my performance?

Yes. Full experience participants receive professional photography and video of their performance to keep, share, and use however they’d like.

Are payment plans available?

Yes. Payment plans are available for both the virtual-only and full experience options, and you can select yours at checkout.

The story is already in you

Are you ready to offer it back?

Ritual Body is an invitation to become brave enough to turn your humanity into art, and let your transformation be witnessed.
